The Luther Allison Memorial Blues Fest is being produced by the River City Blues Society to honor BLUES LEGEND Luther Allison and to feature other Central Illinois blues artists. Luther Allison was one of the world's most talented and respected blues guitarists. Not many people knew he spent many years in central Illinois as he struggled to make it to the top of the blues ladder. See you at the Luther Allison Memorial Blues Fest!

August 14, 2004 - Luther Allison Memorial Site Dedication
Saturday, August 14, 2004 At 11:00 AM, the Madison Blues Society will hold a Luther Allison Memorial dedication at the site of the memorial, which is located in Madison's Brittingham Park, overlooking Monona Bay.
The memorial represents the culmination of the fundraising efforts of the Luther Allison Memorial Fund Project, with administrative and coordination efforts provided by Madison Blues Society members.
The memorial consists of five permanent park benches located along the shores of Lake Monona, together with a memorial stone and plaque, to honor the man and his music.
